About Us

Wendy

I founded Big Horn Bookkeeping with two goals in mind: to create the flexibility to design my own schedule and to use my skills and experience to help fellow business owners succeed. What started as a one-woman operation quickly grew into something more — and with that growth came the opportunity to build a team rooted in integrity, drive, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Today, I’m proud to lead a dedicated team of five, each of whom brings their own strengths to our mission of supporting small businesses through accurate, reliable, and insightful bookkeeping services.

With over 14 years of experience owning and operating multiple businesses, I approach every client’s books with precision, care, and a deep understanding of what it takes to run a successful operation. My passion lies in helping business owners gain clarity in their finances, optimize their processes, and make confident decisions for the future.

Whether you’re launching a new venture or scaling an established company, I’m here to help you streamline your books and set your business up for long-term success.

I graduated with my degree in Accounting in May of 2025, marking an exciting milestone in my journey within the field. Before earning my degree, I obtained an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and a certificate in Bookkeeping. My passion for accounting truly took shape during my time as an Accounting Assistant in Arizona, where I discovered my love for numbers and problem-solving.

Eventually, I returned to my home state of Montana and found a rewarding role working as a Bookkeeper and Office Manager for Wendy at Big Horn Bookkeeping.

What I love most about accounting and bookkeeping is that there’s always something new to learn. Every day brings fresh challenges and opportunities, whether it’s balancing ledgers, analyzing financial statements, or diving into complex financial tasks. I take great pride in my work and am excited to continue growing, honing my skills, and making a meaningful impact in the field.

My journey into bookkeeping and tax began with a simple passion for numbers. As a former business owner of a bookkeeping firm, I discovered just how much I enjoyed diving into the details and helping clients make sense of their finances. That passion naturally expanded into tax preparation, where I gained hands-on experience at a local firm and eventually earned the designation of Enrolled Agent (EA).

While credentials like “EA” offer assurance, I believe it’s the combination of knowledge, real-world experience, and a genuine care for people that truly makes a difference. That’s exactly what drew me to Big Horn Bookkeeping — a company built on quality, integrity, and personalized service.

I’m proud to be part of a team that’s dedicated to helping clients succeed. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me — and welcome to Big Horn Bookkeeping.

Originally from Seattle, my career began in the banking world, where I worked as a Universal Banker for over three years. I later combined my financial knowledge with entrepreneurial spirit to own and operate a successful landscape design and build company for nearly a decade. After relocating to Missoula to enjoy the outdoors and start a family, I found my way back to my passion for small business finance.

I hold a degree in Economics from the University of Oregon and an Associate’s Degree in Business Accounting from North Seattle College. With a strong foundation in both business operations and financial systems, I bring a detail-oriented, practical approach to bookkeeping — especially for small businesses navigating growth and change.

One of life’s greatest privileges is the opportunity to help others, and I’m grateful to do that every day at Big Horn Bookkeeping. With a strong eye for detail and a natural inclination for problem-solving, I enjoy bringing clarity and organization to our clients’ financials.

I’m currently completing my degree in Creative Writing at the University of Montana (Go Griz!) and look forward to combining my passion for storytelling with a career in finance. Whether I’m managing books or drafting chapters, I love working with purpose and precision.
