Timeframe
- Spring Semester: October-December
- Fall Semester: February-April
Compensation
- This is a paid internship at $16 an hour
Time Commitment
- Interns will work up to 10 hours a week
- Schedule is flexible and is tailored to each interns availability
The purpose of this internship is to gain real world cash-basis accounting and will cover a wide range of responsibilities including:
- Categorizing transactions from bank and credit card accounts
- Reconciling accounts
- Capitalizing assets
- Depreciating assets
- Building financial reports for clients
- Preparing client books for taxes
- Working with CPA’s to enter in financial data
- Introduction to Payroll processing and the effects on the books
